This week marked a special milestone at Present Connection as we hosted our very first Tech Connect session, and it couldn’t have gone better!
What is TechConnect?
Tech Connect is our new initiative to bring developers, tech enthusiasts, and curious minds together to share ideas, learn from each other, and explore what’s next in tech. For our debut session, we jumped straight into one of today’s most exciting topics: AI in software development.
AI Tools That Go Beyond Code Generation
Our speaker, software engineer Almantas Karpavičius, delivered a hands-on talk that went beyond code generation. He showed how tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot can actually help improve code quality by enhancing design, structure, and testing practices.
Using C# in Visual Studio and VS Code, the session featured live demos and practical tips on:
- Why BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) and TDD (Test-Driven Development) are more relevant than ever in the age of AI
- How to use AI as a smart assistant for generating tests, refactoring, and writing cleaner code
- Moving from “just generating code” to building better, more maintainable software with AI support
The atmosphere was energetic and open. Attendees asked great questions, sparked valuable discussions, and many stuck around afterward for more conversations and networking.
