Challenge

The ambition of Jetcamp is by 2023 to become market-leader in a growing market which accumulates up to half-a-billion bookings per year. Present Connection was asked to form a team of developers, designers and content providers to create the leading platform for campsite holidays. All in co-creation with the in-depth market knowledge and online marketing skills of the people of Jetcamp.

Solution

In the first stage, Jetcamp and Present Connection defined the structures for collaboration and communication and architecture, technologies, functionality and roadmap were discussed. The idea of the platform is to give the active traveler the opportunity to search for campsites in one place, discover their facilities, look at photos, and visit camping websites.

Client experience

Jetcamp.com got in contact with Present Connection in the initial phase of the company. After a visit to the Lithuanian office where we discussed the idea, future plans, possible architecture and the possible team, both Jetcamp and Present Connection decided to team-up to make a success out of the collaboration. From a software development perspective, the project is fascinating because the nearshored team had to learn how to integrate new technologies like Elasticsearch and complex SEO algorithms that help to search faster in big data sets. In the future, it is planned to improve the search engine, website design and offer more functionality like the opportunity to make a booking to users.
